SEWER LEAK ISOLATION

Providing under slab plumbing leak detection and repair

One of Rapid Rooter’s areas of specialization is working with foundation repair companies to determine whether water lines are leaking under a building’s slab. Rapid Rooter performs a static test to see if there’s a leak, which involves using a pneumatic ball filled with air to seal the pipe at the clean-out (access point to the sewer line) so water does not exit the building. Water is then run into the drain pipes throughout the building. Once the pipes are filled, we monitor the water level in a commode, standing shower or with a camera. If the water level drops, that means there’s a leak. If the pipes in the building don’t fill, that means there’s a severe sewer break under the foundation.
